Customer Service Rep

ALL APPLICANTS MUST RESIDE NEAR LAND OF CANAAN OR ON THE EAST BANK DEMERARA. Overview: To provide excellent customer service while supporting sales of oils, lubricants and hardware items. The role is responsible for preparing quotations, processing POS transactions, assisting customers with product selection, locating products and tracking inventory using the computer system, and ensuring accurate and efficient sales service. Duties & Responsibilities: Greet customers and understand their needs. Provide information and assistance on oils, lubricants and other hardware items. Prepare accurate quotations, invoices and sales documentation. Process sales and payments using the POS system. Use the computerised inventory system to search for products, check availability, pricing and product information. Assist customers in selecting suitable products and suggest alternatives when required. Handle customer enquiries and complaints professionally. Assist with stock checks and locating products within the store / warehouse. Maintain accurate records of sales, quotations and customer requests. Follow up on quotations and customer orders when required. Maintain a clean, organised and professional customer service area. Work closely with the sales team. Minimum Qualification and Experience Requirements: Minimum of five (5) CSEC subjects including Mathematics and English. 3 – 5 years' experience in customer service, retail, sales, hardware, automotive, industrial supplies, oil / lubricant sales or a related environment. Experience with POS systems, inventory management software and product-based sales. Knowledge and Skills: Customer-focused and friendly. Computer literate and comfortable using POS / inventory systems. Accurate and detail-oriented. A good communicator and active listener. Sales-oriented with good product-learning ability. Honest, reliable and trustworthy. Organised and able to multitask. Patient and professional when handling customers. A team player with a positive attitude. Able to work under pressure in a busy sales environment
