Security Supervisor
Job Summary: The Security Supervisor is responsible for the oversight of safety and security of the hotel. This person will respond to guest and employee emergencies, complete incident reports and supervise the security staff in the director's absence. Key Responsibilities: · Supervise external security activities and assign tasks where necessary. This also includes reporting any incidents, discipline or related to the supervising/zone personnel of the external security provider. · Ability to guide, support, and train external security officers on hotel policies and procedures while maintaining a calm and authoritative presence on property. · Patrol lobbies, corridors, and public rooms, confer with management, interview guests and employees and interrogates persons to detect infringements, investigate disturbances, complaints, thefts, vandalism, etc. · Patrol public areas to detect fires, unsafe conditions and damaged or inoperative safety equipment. · Warn or eject troublemakers and caution careless people. · Obtain assistance for accident victims and file accident reports. · Notify staff of presence of people with questionable reputations. · Handle disturbances, guest complaints, and security incidents with professionalism and discretion. · Assist management and enforcement officers in emergency situations. · May enter and check rooms of guests suspected of leaving without paying bill to confirm suspicions and to seize any remaining personal property. · Monitor CCTVs daily and prepare reports on any incidents, investigations, or related. · Coordinate fire safety, CPR/First Aid or related training for hotel staff and ensure all certifications are renewed when required. This includes conducting drills monthly. · Conduct inventory checks and ensure maintenance of security equipment such as two-way radios, PPEs, emergency kits, etc. · Manage procedures for lost/found, keys, visitor logs, access logs, and staff checks. · Always practice safe work habits to prevent accidents and ensure a safe working environment. · Utilize Proper Protective Equipment (PPE) as required and in accordance with property specific guidelines for completing the job safely. · Aid other team members and departments to contribute to the best overall performance of the department and hotel and communicate effectively with guests and fellow team members. · Always maintain a friendly, cheerful and courteous demeanor, while providing personalized service to hotel guests. Maintain a high level of service and hospitality standards. · Ensure security and confidentiality of all guest and hotel information. · Maintain full knowledge of hotel safety and emergency procedures. · Ensure compliance with all Aimbridge policies, brand standards and local operating procedures (SOPs and LSOPs).
