Restaurant Assistant
Job Summary: The restaurant assistant supports daily operations, assists management, and ensures high-quality customer service and compliance with restaurant standards. Key Responsibilities: · Assists the day-to-day operations of the restaurant, including department compliance with company policies and service standards. · Build strong relationships with guests, anticipate their needs, and confidently recommend beverages, menu items, and upselling opportunities. This includes handling guest problems and complaints and providing service recovery where appropriate. · Establish and achieve quality and guest satisfaction goals. Conduct routine brand standard audits designed to ensure optimal service execution. · Ensure general cleanliness and maintenance of the restaurant space and equipment. · Coordinate effectively with the Kitchen, Restaurant, Housekeeping, and other hotel departments to ensure seamless operations and guest satisfaction. · Support special events/ functions by conducting operational checks and ensuring all service requirements are met. · Assist with inventory management, including stock control, stock rotation, replenishment, and monthly inventory checks of equipment and supplies. · Participate actively in training sessions, team meetings, and continuous learning initiatives to enhance product knowledge and service standards. · Support team with administrative tasks such as coordinating training sessions, preparing/collecting/submitting events and/or payroll-related documentation. · Ensure security and confidentiality of all guests, employee and hotel information. · Maintain full knowledge of hotel safety and emergency procedures. · Ensure compliance with all Aimbridge policies, brand standards and local operating procedures (SOPs and LSOPs). · Perform other duties as assigned by your immediate manager. Requirements · High school diploma, or equivalent. · 1-2 years’ experience in food and beverages, customer service and/or hospitality is preferred. · Valid food handling certificate. • Knowledge of inventory control, F&B cost control. • Basic knowledge of food safety, hygiene and sanitation practices. • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. • Strong customer service orientation. • Ability to multi-task and work efficiently in a fast-paced environment. • Positive attitude with a team-oriented approach. • Attention to detail and high level of integrity. • Ability to stand and move at a fast pace for long periods of time.
