Revenue Auditor
Job Summary The Revenue Auditor is responsible for reviewing and reconciling the hotel’s daily revenue transactions to ensure that revenue from rooms, F&B, Banquets and other outlets is accurately recorded and supported. Key Responsibilities · Review and reconcile daily hotel revenue, ensuring room charges, F&B sales, payments and other transactions are accurately recorded and investigate any discrepancies. · Review night audit process and reports to ensure daily transactions have been properly posted, accounts are closed correctly and required supporting documentations are complete. · Verify cashier settlements, cash deposits, credit card transactions, refunds, discounts, voids and adjustments or similar, ensuring appropriate authorization and documentation. · Review room revenue, room rates, occupancy statistics, rate adjustments and related to identify any unauthorized transactions. · Review guest accounts, ledger transactions and payment postings to ensure charges are accurately documented/recorded. · Prepare revenue audit reports as directed and reconciliation information as required by the Finance Controller for month-end reporting and analysis. · Support the finance department with month-end account balances, accruals, etc. · Monitor compliance with hotel revenue control procedures and policies, identify irregularities and escalate discrepancies to the Finance Controller. · Maintain a high level of service and hospitality standards. · Ensure security and confidentiality of all guests, client and hotel information. · Ensure compliance with all Aimbridge policies, brand standards and local operating procedures (SOPs and LSOPs). · Perform other duties as assigned by your immediate manager. Requirements · Diploma or Degree in accounting/finance, (CAT/ACCA) or equivalent. · 2-4 years’ experience in accounting, revenue auditing, or similar field (hospitality experience would be an asset). · Proficient in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks, and related accounting software. · Knowledge in using Opera PMS, Oracle, Point of Sale, accounting/ERP, credit-card/payment reconciliation systems. · Knowledge of revenue, cash/credit-card reconciliation, internal controls/auditing and financial analysis. · Knowledge of food safety, hygiene and sanitation practices. · Strong attention to detail with excellent numerical skills. · Ability to multitask and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, organization and communication skills. · Demonstrated sense of accountability, urgency, and professionalism. · Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. · High level of integrity and accuracy.
