Accounts Clerk
Job Summary The Accounting Assistant/Clerk is responsible for supporting the hotel's accounting operations by ensuring accurate and timely processing of invoices, payments, reconciliations, and financial records. This role works closely with vendors, operational departments, and the finance team to maintain compliance with company policies and support efficient financial operations. Key Responsibilities · Process vendor invoices and payments accurately and in a timely manner. · Perform daily accounting activities, including accounts receivables /payable processing, journal entries, and account reconciliations. · Monitor and manage payments related to hotel licenses, permits, contracts, and other recurring obligations. · Assist with month-end closing activities, including accounts payable accruals and supporting documentation. · Maintain accurate accounting records and ensure compliance with company policies, internal controls, and audit requirements. · Research and resolve invoice discrepancies and vendor inquiries. · Support finance team projects and assist with additional accounting duties as assigned. · Maintain a high level of service and hospitality standards. · Ensure security and confidentiality of all guests, client and hotel information. · Ensure compliance with all Aimbridge policies, brand standards and local operating procedures (SOPs and LSOPs). · Perform other duties as assigned by your immediate manager. Requirements · Diploma or Degree in accounting and finance (CAT/ACCA), or equivalent. · 2-4 years’ experience in accounting, or similar field (hospitality experience would be an asset). · Proficient in Microsoft Office, QuickBooks and related accounting software. · Knowledge in using Opera PMS, Oracle, Point of Sale. · Knowledge of accounts payable, receivables and basic accounting principles. · Strong attention to detail with excellent organizational skills. · Ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment. · Strong analytical, problem-solving, and communication skills. · Demonstrated sense of accountability, urgency, and professionalism. · Ability to work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders. · High level of integrity.
